Where to park in Como for your boat tour

In short

The Salimar boarding point is on the Como lakefront (Viale Geno), a short walk from the centre. Best options: Autosilo Auguadri garage (city centre, ~8-10 minutes on foot), Autosilo Valduce (~10 minutes) and the Ticosa car park (bigger and cheaper, ~15 minutes). On summer weekends arrive 30-45 minutes early: traffic near the lakefront is slow and street spots fill up fast.

“Where can I park in Como for the tour?” is one of the questions we get most often in chat — and the right answer makes your day start without stress. Our boarding point is on the Como lakefront, by Viale Geno: here are the real options, from closest to cheapest.

Parking garages (the safe choice)

Autosilo Auguadri — right in the centre (via Auguadri): the most convenient for the lakefront, about 8-10 minutes on foot from boarding. Covered, open daily.
Autosilo Valduce — east side of the centre: about 10 minutes on foot, often has space even when the centre is full.
Ticosa car park — the biggest and cheapest, on the edge of the old town: a pleasant 12-15 minute walk through the pedestrian streets.

City-centre garages run around 2-2.50 euros per hour (indicative — check the signs at the entrance). For a one-hour tour, allow about two and a half hours of parking including boarding and the walk.

Blue-line street parking

Along the lake (Viale Geno, Viale Geno) there are paid blue-line spots: perfect when you find one — which on summer weekends is almost never. If you try, have a plan B: circling for a spot is the classic way to miss a departure.

The advice we give everyone

On weekends and in high season, arrive in the area 30-45 minutes early: the last kilometre towards the lakefront is slow, and with the car sorted you can enjoy a coffee in Piazza Cavour before boarding. The boat leaves on time — with parking done, punctuality is free.
