Terms and conditions of sale
Last updated: 26 August 2026
1. Scope
These terms govern the booking and use of the services offered through the website salimarboat.it by SALIMAR di Lucini Boris, VAT no. 01588620912 (the “Operator”). They apply exclusively to bookings made through salimarboat.it. Bookings made through third-party platforms (for example GetYourGuide, Viator, Airbnb Experiences) are governed by the sale, cancellation and refund terms of the platform used, to which reference is made in full.
2. Services
The Operator provides skippered boat tours on Lake Como and in Sardinia, as well as licence-free boat rental. The description, duration, boarding point and price of each service are set out on the relevant page of the website and summarised in the booking confirmation. Each boat carries a maximum of 12 participants.
3. Booking and payment
A booking is concluded upon payment in full of the price, charged at the time of booking through a secure payment provider. The Customer receives immediate confirmation by email, including a summary of the details. Prices are in euro and include VAT where applicable.
4. Cancellation by the Customer
The Customer may cancel free of charge up to 12 hours before the scheduled departure time, with a full refund to the payment method used. After that deadline the booking is non-refundable. Cancellation is made through the link in the confirmation email or by writing to [email protected].
5. Change of date
Changes of date or time are always permitted, free of charge and subject to availability, provided they are requested within the same 12-hour deadline before the original departure. This applies to bookings made through salimarboat.it; for bookings made through third-party platforms, the change policy of that platform applies.
6. No-show and late arrival
If the Customer fails to appear at the boarding point without having cancelled within the deadline set out in clause 4, the price is not refundable and no refund may be claimed afterwards. The boat waits for a maximum of 10 minutes on Lake Como and 15 minutes in Sardinia after the scheduled departure time; after that the departure is deemed lost and the no-show rule applies.
7. Weather conditions and force majeure
The assessment of safe navigation rests solely with the Operator and the skipper. Where conditions do not allow the service to take place, the Operator first offers to reschedule to another date or time; where no alternative is workable for the Customer, the price is refunded in full. Any further compensation is excluded, including travel, accommodation or incidental expenses.
8. Boarding and safety rules
Life jackets in all sizes are provided on board; participants must follow the skipper's instructions. Minors may take part only when accompanied by an adult. Animals are not allowed on board. The Operator may refuse boarding, with no right to a refund, to anyone whose physical or mental condition is unsuitable for navigation or whose behaviour is dangerous to themselves or others.
9. Liability
The Operator is liable within the limits of the law for damage attributable to the performance of the service. Liability is excluded for participants' personal belongings, which remain in their custody, and for damage resulting from failure to follow the skipper's instructions.
10. Complaints
Complaints may be sent to [email protected]; the Operator will reply as soon as possible.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Italian law. For disputes with consumers, the courts of the consumer's place of residence or domicile in Italy have mandatory jurisdiction. In all other cases, the courts of the Operator's registered office have exclusive jurisdiction.
